I'm beginning to suspect this forum is NOT sanctioned by Microsoft. The mouse concerned is from the "Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000" set. Tried with new batteries, rechargeables, non-rechargeables, etc. I've tried this on both Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit. The above fix will work for about 2 minutes before the problem occurs again. In step 2, this mouse-over response is not there. The problem is only fixed, temporarily, if I do:Īt the 4th step, I can see the "Cancel" button responds to my mouse-over (like telling me "you can click me"). The problem, put simply: My mouse left-click will deselect (cause to lose focus) the active window that I'm clicking in. I'm in Singapore, and will be hunting down Microsoft tech support for this problem, even to public and legal avenues if need be. If anyone else is experiencing this, do bump this thread up. This problem has been around for more than 2 years, beginning with Vista. ![]()
